Days of Miracles: Karma Yoga Retreat

This year February marks the anniversary of the Days of Miracles. During this fifteen-day period, the Buddha performed many miraculous feats in order to inspire the faith and diligence of his students.

On these fifteen days, karmic results are multiplied one hundred million times, as cited by Lama Zopa Rinpoche from the Vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic. During this time we are inviting students to join us for a retreat focused on creating harmony and positive karma together.

Each morning of the retreat we’ll gather in the gompa for prayers and to set our motivation. During each day we’ll be working together on projects to prepare the property for Lama Zopa Rinpoches visit. These include: creating a new garden to welcome our Fasting Buddha Statue, painting our Gompa entry and Prayer Wheel House and working on other beautification projects around the property to welcome Rinpoche. We’ll finish the day with a session of dedication and rejoicing in the wonderful work we’ve accomplished together. To complete the last day of the retreat we’ll focus our energies on making beautiful offerings for Chotrul Düchen and creating the celebration for Rinpoche’s visit.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to create a truly beautiful and harmonious atmosphere across the property. To ensure that many students can participate we’ll be offering our retreat participants free accommodation and meals in return for their participation.

Monday 19th February 9.00 am to Thursday 1st March at Chenrezig Institute concluding approximately 8 pm with Shakyamuni Buddha Puja.

Places on this retreat are limited and by an application which you can complete
