Je Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) is one of the most significant Tibetan Buddhist masters, whose studies and meditations in all the major schools of Tibetan Buddhism resulted in the founding of the Gelugpa lineage. Buddhists all over the world honour his attainment of parinirvana on Lama Tsongkhapa Day, which this year falls on December 23.
4.33 am – 4.53 am Precepts
9.00 am – 12 noon Golden Light Sutra (Main Gompa)
9.00 am – 3.00 pm Working with Holy Objects (Garden of Enlightenment)
4.45 pm – 5.45 pm Set up light offerings (Main Gompa)
6.30 pm – 7.00 pm Lantern Parade to the Gompa
7.00 pm- 8.30 pm Shakyamuni Buddha Puja (Main Gompa) including light offerings

All activities are offered by the centre at no charge, except for lunch which is $12.50 per person. Please book by 9.30 am.
