Our new 1000-Arm Chenrezig Statue
About 15 years ago Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche had expressed his heart felt wish for Chenrezig Institute to build a new 1000-Arm Chenrezig statute to replace the current one in our Gompa. To coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Chenrezig Institute this year, we are commissioning a new 1000-Arm Chenrezig Statue to protect and guide us through the next level of spiritual growth in spreading the precious Buddha Dharma and offering services to all sentient beings.
Please join us in fulfilling Rinpoche's wish to build a new Chenrezig statue. The merits of your auspicious act will be dedicated to the swift return of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
The new 1000-Arm Chenrezig statue is inspired by the majestic statue in Amitabha Buddhist Centre in Singapore, which was built by the incomparable artistry of Peter and Denise Griffin under the close guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
To fulfill the wish of Rinpoche and to share this meritorious activity with as many people as possible, we invite all friends and fellow students of Rinpoche to sponsor the individual arms of Chenrezig for $1000 each, or a general donation. Proceeds will help fund the new statue and altar, and any excess will go to the New Tibetan Gompa and Centre Development Project.
