Designated Protection Person – Role Overview

The Designated Protection Person (DPP) at Chenrezig Institute serves as the primary point of contact for all matters related to safeguarding and protection within the community. This includes ensuring that the institute upholds a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone—residents, visitors, volunteers, and staff alike.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and responding to concerns or reports related to misconduct, harassment, or abuse in a confidential and compassionate manner.

  • Supporting the implementation of Chenrezig Institute’s safeguarding policies and procedures in alignment with FPMT’s ethical standards.

  • Providing guidance and information to individuals seeking support or clarity around protection matters.

  • Liaising with relevant internal teams or external agencies, if needed, to ensure appropriate and timely action is taken.

The DPP plays a vital role in upholding the institute’s commitment to ethical conduct, personal safety, and the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of all who engage with our Dharma community.
