Lama Tsongkhapa day
Lama Tsongkhapa Day 2024:
Ganden Ngamchoe, literally “Ganden Offering of the Twenty-Fifth Day,” or Lama Tsongkhapa Day, is a celebration of the anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa’s parinirvana. It is celebrated on the twenty-fifth day of the tenth month of the Tibetan calendar – which falls on th December this year!
Lama Tsongkhapa is an incredibly important figure in our tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and many times Geshe Tsultrim has extolled his virtues and expressed his own admiration for the qualities of Je Rinpoche.
Chenrezig Institute will mark this auspicious day with a celebration that includes joining Geshe Tsultrim in performing an elaborate Lama Chopa puja with Tsog and light offerings in the gompa, followed by recitations of the famous praise to Lama Tsongkhapa, Migme Tsewe, in the Nalanda Masters Garden where there will be extensive flower and light offerings made to the image of Lama Tsong Khapa
Please join us in this celebration of the life, teachings and enormous benefit offered by Lama Tsongkhapa to us, his students.
5:30pm. – 7.30pm Puja in the Gompa
(You will be most welcome to come early to help decorate the Gompa and the Nalanda Masters Garden and to set up the extensive offerings)
