October Soul Foods and Soundscapes with Peter Hunt
Soul Foods & Soundscapes returns this October with a very special session led by musician and facilitator Peter Hunt.
Peter warmly invites you to step into a space of connection — with yourself, your voice, each other, and the joy that arises when we sing together.
The evening begins with gentle practices to relax, tune in, and discover the ease of your natural voice. Here, the emphasis is on making an authentic sound rather than striving for a perfect one. From this foundation, Peter will guide the group into rhythm, using simple movement and shared melodies to build layers of harmony and song.
As the music unfolds, you’ll be supported to either sink deeply into your part or explore new inspiration through improvisation. Together, we’ll weave a living soundscape — a co-created offering of music, presence, and joy.
Evening Flow:
🍽 5:00–6:00pm – Wholesome Vegetarian Community Dinner at Big Love Café
🎶 6:15–7:00pm – Peter Hunt
🫖 7:15–7:45pm – Community Chai Circle
🎵 7:45–8:15pm – Peter Hunt
Whether you are an experienced singer or simply curious, this event is about embracing the unique sound within you and sharing it in community.

November Soul Food and Soundscapes with Manoa
This month, Soul Foods & Soundscapes welcomes Manoa — California-born, Australian-based roots artist Steve Manoa, joined by his Swedish songstress wife Caroline.
Together, they weave a vibrant tapestry of folk melodies and reggae-inspired grooves, offering music that is both heart-opening and deeply grounding. Their songs carry uplifting messages of nature connection, personal growth, and transformation — an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the living world.
Having played festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival and supported well-loved roots musicians like Nahko, Satsang, and Murray Kyle, Manoa’s music is more than a performance — it’s an experience that nourishes body, mind, and spirit. With a PhD in Ecopsychology & Environmental Education, Steve integrates ecological wisdom into his workshops and retreats, while Caroline brings the rich tradition of Scandinavian folk music, her voice carrying the warmth and joy of community.
Evening Flow:
🍽 5:00–6:00pm – Wholesome Vegetarian Community Dinner at Big Love Café
