Living Peacefully: How to Create Inner Peace and a Happier World - Weekend Course with Ven. Carla Tsultrim

  • Chenrezig Institute 33 Johnsons Road Eudlo, QLD, 4554 Australia (map)

About Event:

Living peacefully relates to 3 things…how we think, how we speak and how we act.

The basic principle of living peacefully is to live ethically and the basic principle of living ethically is to consider others. Built on a wholehearted concern for others based in developing our compassion and wisdom, living our lives peacefully benefits both others and ourselves.

We can develop a state of mind that wishes to consciously participate in cultivating more co-operative, supportive and harmonious relationships whether with our family and friends, our community or the world and all its inhabitants.

But in order to do to this we must consider many aspects of our own mind, our own lives and our own relationship to the world around us.

This weekend course explores how our thoughts, words and actions directly affect our ability to live peacefully and ethically. We consider what we can do right now and into the future to ensure a life lived well both for ourselves and others.

About our Teacher:

Ven Tsultrim was ordained in 2009 at Chenrezig Institute in Australia. She has spent much of the last several years in India and Nepal doing retreats, listening to different teachers from the Tibetan Buddhist lineages, and visiting many pilgrimage sites. She is currently working at Karuna Hospice Service as a counsellor and the Spiritual Program Coordinator. She has worked for many years in suicide prevention and intervention.

She has a very strong conviction that most of us can find contentment in our lives irrespective of our external circumstances through understanding and training our minds, particularly through using mindfulness. She has a Bachelor of Counselling, a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Policy), and Master of International Studies (Peace and Conflict Resolution).

All are welcome to attend for the whole long weekend, one day or a session or two.
