We warmly welcome you join us for a very special day at Chenrezig Institute as we celebrate the birthday of our dear and precious resident teacher, Geshe Phuntsok Tsultrim.

White Tara Long Life Puja: 9:30am–12:00pm

Birthday lunch and cake to follow at the Big Love Café

To begin the celebrations, the Gyumed Geshes will lead us in a White Tara Long Life Puja in the Gompa from 9:30am–12:00pm, dedicated to the long life, good health and wellbeing of our most precious teacher, Geshe Tsultrim.

White Tara practice is traditionally associated with long life, healing and the removal of obstacles to life and Dharma practice. By coming together for this puja, we have a wonderful opportunity to offer our prayers and dedicate the merit so that Geshe-la may continue to teach, guide and benefit students and countless sentient beings for many, many years to come.

Coming together in practice is also a beautiful way to cultivate harmony, connection and unity within our community, making this a particularly meaningful way to begin Geshe-la’s birthday celebrations.

After the puja, everyone is warmly invited to continue the celebrations with us at the Big Love Café, where we’ll gather for a delicious vegetarian lunch — and, of course, birthday cake!

We would love to see our community come together to celebrate Geshe-la, rejoice in his extraordinary kindness, and make heartfelt prayers for his long and healthy life.

The puja will be held in the Gompa and is in-person only.

There is no need to register to attend the puja or join us for the birthday celebrations. However, if you would like to order lunch from the Big Love Café, lunch must be booked and paid for in advance as usual. Birthday cake will be freely offered to everyone, whether or not you are ordering lunch.
