You are cordially invited to join us for a special celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 91st Birthday with the sacred consecration of the newly completed 3.5m Thousand-Armed Chenrezig Statue.

This auspicious occasion brings together devotion, culture and community in the spirit of compassion and unity, embodied by Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The official ceremony starts at 10:00am in the Gompa, and both lunch and dinner will be freely provided to all attendees.

All are welcome, regardless of background or faith.

Please note that the official ceremony in the Gompa will be live streamed on the Chenrezig Institute YouTube Channel. You are warmly welcome to join us online for this live event.

His Holiness’s 91st Birthday Celebration Schedule:

• 10:00am – Official Ceremony:
  Consecration of the Thousand-Armed Chenrezig Statue, speeches, birthday cake cutting and cultural performances (Gompa)
  

• 12:00pm-1:30pm – Lunch:
  Vegetarian / vegan lunch served in the Big Love Cafe, freely offered to all attendees
  

• 2:00pm-4:00pm – Cultural performances:
  Special cultural performances and music to celebrate His Holiness
  (Nalanda Masters’ Garden)
  

• 5:00pm-6:00pm – Dinner:
  Vegetarian / vegan dinner served in the Big Love Cafe, freely offered to all attendees
  

• 6:30pm-8:00pm (approx.) – Movie screening:
  The Wisdom of Happiness (Gompa)

Registration and Donations

Please register your attendance via the form below, and specify how many additional people (if any) will accompany you. We do not require separate forms to be submitted for each attendee. If you are planning to attend with your family, for example, simply submit the form once and enter the number of additional people coming with you in the prompted field.

The day is entirely free to attend, including meals freely provided. If you would like to make a donation to the Gompa Ceremony offerings, however, we warmly invite you to make a General Donation via the button below. In the comment section of this donation page, you are welcome to insert “His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 91st Birthday Celebration” so we know what your donation is intended for.

Please note: all donations are non-refundable and go directly to supporting the ongoing operations of the Centre.
