About Event:
Kirtananda means the bliss of chanting.
Members Caroline, Boi & Eskae have been offering kirtan for the local community here on the Sunshine Coast for the past 5 years, including 2 full house sessions at the 25/26 Woodford Folk Festival.
While all three are professional musicians, they love to sink into the divine frequency of sacred mantras, and are able to share this with decades of musical experience between them.
With the sublime sounds of the harmonium, djembe, violin & percussion, Kirtananda lead simple chants that are easy to join in with, from no particular lineage, though mostly in Sanskrit.
Program:
5:00 - 6:00 pm -Optional vegetarian dinner and drink for $20 before the session (you can select this when booking below, and your reservation will be shared with the cafe reception)
6:15 pm - 7:30 pm - Kirtan session in the Wellbeing centre
You are invited to join in with your voice, & feel the difference that this sacred & most enjoyable practice brings to your being.
This session at Chenrezig will be a ‘Silent Kirtan’ with very little or no speaking between the chants & silence is requested as you enter & leave the space, as we also have a Vipassana retreat on site at the same time at the centre.
