About Event:
At the request of our precious teacher, the infinitely kind Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we schedule a Mani Retreat each year and have done so since Rinpoche himself attended the first retreat with us in 2000. The practice engaged in is one written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself and is a profound method for generating compassion for all.
Retreaters should plan to attend an introductory session at 6:30pm on Friday, 21st August but are encouraged to come and help prepare the Gompa during the afternoon at 3:30pm. The retreat will continue with four sessions of led meditations per day, sessions which include visualising Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), generating great compassion for all beings, and reciting the mantra of Chenrezig OM MANI PADME HUM, until the morning of Friday, 28th August.
All are welcome to attend this beautiful retreat. There is no need to have taken the initiation. Materials and support will be provided.

She has worked for many years in suicide prevention and intervention.
