Mindfulness in Motion Weekend with Ven. Tsultrim

  • Chenrezig Institute 33 Johnsons Road Eudlo, QLD, 4554 Australia (map)

About Event:

The Mindfulness weekend is called Mindfulness in Motion - how to have peaceful mind in everyday life. We can learn to use mindfulness to live our daily life more deliberately and consciously. To be aware of our thoughts, feelings and emotions and how they directly affect our actions and responses to what life throws up at us.  This weekend course will offer tools and techniques to become more aware of our thoughts and feelings and how they influence and direct our actions.  We will learn ways to recognise helpful versus unhelpful thinking in order to become the master of our thoughts and feelings rather than their slave and to develop a more peaceful and content state of mind no matter what life brings us.

About our Teacher:

Ven Tsultrim was ordained in 2009 at Chenrezig Institute in Australia. She has spent much of the last several years in India and Nepal doing retreats, listening to different teachers from the Tibetan Buddhist lineages, and visiting many pilgrimage sites. She is currently working at Karuna Hospice Service as a counsellor and the Spiritual Program Coordinator. She has worked for many years in suicide prevention and intervention.

She has a very strong conviction that most of us can find contentment in our lives irrespective of our external circumstances through understanding and training our minds, particularly through using mindfulness. She has a Bachelor of Counselling, a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Policy), and Master of International Studies (Peace and Conflict Resolution).

All are welcome to attend for the whole long weekend, one day or a session or two.
