About Event:
Shhh… Sip & Sketch is a contemplative creative ritual — a 2 hour immersion into silence, compassion, and intuitive observation. A first time life drawing experience you don’t want to miss*.
We begin by softening into a guided heart meditation, awakening the inner space of awareness and kindness. From there, we enter a silent live drawing experience, sketching the Monk of the Month* in reverent observation.
Here, drawing becomes meditation.
Seeing becomes devotion.
Silence becomes full.
There is no pressure to perform.
No expectation of outcome.
Only an invitation to witness and respond.
The sketching experience includes progressive pose intervals that allow participants to explore diverse techniques — from rapid gesture mapping to longer poses enabling deeper detailing, refined shapes, and tonal awareness.
Timed intervals gently guide participants from intuitive gesture into sustained observation — supporting both beginners and experienced artists to deepen awareness while maintaining the silence and contemplative nature of the space.
Between breaths and brushstrokes, you will sip “Big Love” chai tea— a gentle thread of warmth woven through the experience.
This offering is intentionally intimate, limited to a maximum of 12 participants to preserve depth and connection. It is beginner-friendly and welcoming to all levels of experience, with all materials thoughtfully provided. Held in a safe, supportive, and quietly joyful environment, the space invites you to arrive open, create softly, and leave feeling connected — to yourself, to community, and to compassion.
Note: this event will happen in conjunction of “Immersed in the Flow” Group art exhibition
