Special Prayers for the Nepal-Tibet Floods

  • Gompa - Chenrezig Institute (and online) 33 Johnsons Road Eudlo, QLD, 4554 Australia (map)

About Event:

In light of the recent tragedy unfolding across Nepal and Tibet, with devastating flooding and a significant loss of life, Chenrezig Institute will be offering Special Prayers led by the Gyumed Geshes and joined by Geshe Tenzin Zopa on Thursday, 3 September, from 2:00-4:30pm. This event will be both in the gompa and online.

We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and with the communities facing the aftermath of this heartbreaking disaster. At this difficult time, we invite our community to come together and join Geshe Tsultrim, Geshe Zopa and the Gyumed Geshes to offer prayers for those who have passed away, those who are suffering, and for the safety and wellbeing of all those affected.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the Gyumed Geshes for leading us in these most important and timely prayers, and to Geshe Zopa, who has kindly offered to stay after the conclusion of his teaching retreats to join and support us.

Attend in person or online

The prayers will take place in the gompa following Geshe Zopa’s morning teaching, from 2:00-4:30pm. You are also warmly welcome to join online via the Chenrezig Institute YouTube channel, where the prayers will be live-streamed, or via Zoom:
