It's a great privilege to invite you all to this once in a lifetime Bonsai Demonstration here at our bonsai nursery next door to the Art Studio, with special guest Dieddrick Haneveld.
Commencing at 9am to around 4pm.

About the demonstrators:
Our demonstrator is renowned Bonsai artist Dieddrick Haneveld. He is an active member of Maleny Bonsai Self Help group (visit Facebook – Maleny Bonsai for details). He has an astounding collection of quality trees, of many different species/varieties and styles.
Diederik started practicing Bonsai 35 years ago. During that time Bodhidharma Bonsai was launched in Daylesford Victoria, specialising in collected Yamadori (out of the wild) trees. This nursery was in operation for 20 years which included lecturing enthusiasts at local bonsai associations.
Diederik moved to Queensland in 2019 and still enjoys his passion for bonsai and is excited to be able to share this passion with others at Chenrezig Institute.
Diedrick has been invited by Tenzin, our regular Bonsai Master at Chenrezig Institute.
This demonstration day is freely offered to anyone interested.
This event will go all day. We suggest you pop in and see what is happening, then maybe have a look around the Art Studio as well as exploring, this wonderful Buddhist establishment where there are so many wonderful places to visit. When you are finished exploring, pop back to check the tree's progress. Who knows you may get bitten by the Bonsai bug and want to sign up for a Bonsai Workshop.

Tenzin is a regular dharma student at CI who started practising bonsai thirty years ago.
Now Tenzin is teaching bonsai classes at the Chenrezig Institute Art Studio. These practical sessions are part tutorial with a component having participants do some work so they learn and understand through experience.
Costing depends on the tree, size, species and work involved.
