Traditional Drawing Class with Jane Shamrock

  • Chenrezig Institute 33 Johnsons Road Eudlo, QLD, 4554 Australia (map)

About Event:

Monthly traditional drawing class in the Art Studio, Chenrezig Institute.

Visitors to the Art Studio at Chenrezig Institute frequently ask us if there are art classes and our answer is “yes”!

There is now a regular monthly class where students learn to draw a portrait of the Buddha using the traditional grid. This method will enable anyone interested in learning to draw or paint a thangka to  set up a sheet of drawing paper or a canvas to scale. The class is suitable for absolute beginners, as well as artists interested in learning the traditional methods of buddhist drawing and painting.

When: 1st Saturday morning of each month,

Time: 10 am – 12 midday (but please arrive at 9.45 for a 10.00am start)

Bring:  Participants need to bring A3 drawing paper, HB pencil, eraser, long and short ruler if possible and a compass.
