Vision

Vision statement to go here

Our Tibetan Gompa

Our current Gompa has been the beating heart of Chenrezig Institute for nearly five decades, a place of learning and practice, offering the precious Dharma to thousands of students and visitors from near and far. However, the time has come to develop further and create a new Gompa; a place where people can come together in search of spiritual growth, further learning and practice.

We are delighted to announce that our new Gompa project has been blessed by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and received Lama Zopa Rinpoche's full endorsement.

Our vision? That our new Gompa will carry on the Chenrezig Institute’s legacy for centuries to come. Both complementing our current gompa and providing a place of learning and practice, offering the precious Dharma to students and visitors from all over the world, creating a place for them to come together to further learning, practice and spiritual growth.

1000-Arm Chenrezig Statue

To fulfill the wish of Rinpoche and to share this meritorious activity with as many people as possible, we invite all friends and fellow students of Rinpoche to sponsor the individual arms of Chenrezig for $1000 each, or a general donation. Proceeds will help fund the new statue and altar, and any excess will go to the New Tibetan Gompa and Centre Development Project.

Please join us in fulfilling Rinpoche's wish to build a new Chenrezig statue. The merits of your auspicious act will be dedicated to the swift return of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche

“I think to bring dharma into the western world is something which develops continuously over a long time.  Therefore, we try to establish communities, where we can live together and share the experience of bringing the universal Mahayana idea into our daily lives.  I think that is very, very important.”

“The community I have in mind represents a universal totality.  In such a community there is space for monks and nuns, space for families and children and space for every aspect of life, from beginning to the end of human growth.  This is my projection.”
