1000 Arm Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the revered Boddhisattva embodying the compassion of all Buddhas who is actively engaged in helping all sentient beings overcome suffering.

About 15 years ago, Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised Chenrezig Institute to replace the Thousand-Arm Chenrezig statue in our Gompa with a replica of the masterpiece at Singapore ABC Centre. Since then, we have been fundraising and are finally ready to proceed.

This project is an exciting collaboration with the best minds in our FPMT family with one common goal - to preserve Rinpoche’s lineage and fulfill Rinpoche’s advice and holy projects. Guided by the original artist Peter Griffin in France, led by Hup Cheng and Garrick Soon in Singapore, we can now expedite production in China and reduce costs using 3D scanning technology to replicate the exact statue from Singapore ABC Centre. The original statue in Singapore took almost 3 years to complete by Peter and Dennis Griffin under Rinpoche’s strict guidance. The full-size 3.5m statue for CI will be ready by the end of 2025.

We are also casting other versions (1m) in poly fibre, fully painted on special order. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to own a version of Rinpoche’s approved masterpiece at an affordable cost.
