In August 2022 Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche unveiled this precious Liberation Cloth printed with various mantras. This blanket, when placed over human beings and animals when they are dying, will protect them from getting reborn in the lower realms.

The cloth is printed with the following mantras: Chenrezig mantra, Secret Relic mantra, Namgyalma mantra (long and short), Stainless Pinnacle Lotus mantra and mantra from the Sutra of Great Liberation, and with lotuses.

When these Liberation Cloths are used to drape on the deceased, they can be cremated, buried with the body or re-used. The Liberation Cloths can also be used by the living at times of sickness or pain for purification. If the Liberation Cloth is larger than the body parts to be covered, it can be folded. As long the blanket touches the body, it is fine whether the printed words are facing towards the body or outwards.
