About Event:
This workshop offers a calming blend of nature and creativity. Participants will learn about the history and use of herbal smudge sticks, explore the properties of various herbs, and make their own using local organic plants. The session begins with a mindfulness exercise and includes a therapeutic smudge stick-making activity. It concludes with a butterfly-inspired meditation rock painting session.
A beautiful combination involving nature and art! In this workshop you will learn about herbal
smudge sticks and their origins, what to use them for, how to use them and what herbs to
use. You will learn about the smudging process, and the folklore properties of different herbs
and the steps involved in making your own. We will start with a calming mindfulness
exercise, and then immerse ourselves into the process of creating your smudge sticks,
finding it calming and therapeutic, taking you away from the worries of the world, being
present in the moment using an assortment of locally grown organic herbs. We will then shift
our focus to beautiful butterflies in nature, doing a mindfulness meditation and a simple art
activity painting on a rock.
